Open Access Publication Support Call

The COST Action CPP4ALL is pleased to announce a call to support Open Access scientific publications related to Cultural Property Protection (CPP). The Action aims to encourage the dissemination of high-quality scientific outputs and interdisciplinary research addressing topics connected to cultural property protection, illicit trafficking, heritage safeguarding, technology, policy, criminology, law, remote sensing, artificial intelligence, provenance research, and related domains.

Available Budget

A total budget of EUR 2,000 is available to support Article Processing Charges (APCs) for Open Access publications. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis and accepted until the available budget is exhausted.

Eligibility Criteria

The submitted paper must clearly relate to the themes and objectives of the CPP4ALL Action. The publication must be accepted and published no later than 31 August 2026. Joint and multidisciplinary publications are strongly encouraged.

Submission Procedure

Expressions of Interest should be submitted through the CPP4ALL platform and addressed to: The Action Chair; The Vice Action Chair; The Grant Manager.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Applications will be evaluated according to:
  • Relevance and linkage to the topics and objectives of the CPP4ALL Action;
  • Scientific quality and expected impact of the publication;
  • Reputation, visibility, and quality standards of the selected journal;
  • Interdisciplinary and collaborative nature of the contribution.

Preference will be given to

  • Young Researchers and Innovators (YRIs) particularly when acting as first author;
  • Joint publications involving multiple disciplines and/or institutions.

Evaluation Process

An evaluation committee composed of experts within the Action will assess the applications and evaluate the scientific quality, relevance, and overall suitability of the proposed publication for funding support.
